Tesla owners feel the pinch

The NHTSA is issuing a recall for 1,096,762 Tesla vehicles for faulty power windows. The automatic reversal system, or pinch detection, is supposed to stop the window from rolling up when there’s an obstruction in the way (such as your fingers). The NHTSA wrote in a letter to Tesla that the defect poses an injury risk, which led to the safety recall. Here are the Tesla models impacted by the recall:

2017-2022 Tesla Model 3.2021-2022 Tesla Model S.2021-2022 Tesla Model X.2020-2022 Tesla Model Y.

Vehicles in production as of Sept. 13 already got the update, and Tesla had not received any reports of injuries as of Sept. 16.
