OnePlus today announced the roll out of OxygenOS 2.2.1 for its 2016 flagship killer, the OnePlus 2. Among other things, the update introduces the ability to directly shoot photos in RAW format on the handset using the stock camera application. Previously, shooting pictures in RAW format required one to use a third-party camera app like Manual camera or ProShot. Other changes in the update mainly include bug fixes and improved compatibility. A mini changelog of the update is below:

As always, the update will be rolled out in stages to all OnePlus 2 owners across the globe. With more than four months since Google released Marshmallow, you’d think OnePlus would have already updated their ‘2016 flagship killer’ to it, but that is not the case. The company had announced earlier that it would be updating the OnePlus 2 to Marshmallow sometime in Q1, which means that it will run out of time in 25 days from now. The clock is ticking for OnePlus, so let’s see whether they are able to keep their word this time around or not.
