More than a month after releasing Paranoid Android 7.1.2 based builds, the PA team has released the second update (v7.2.0) of their ROM with new features and support for new devices. The update also squashes many bugs as reported by users over the last month.

In terms of new features, the new release brings Pocket Lock and Accidental Touch to the table. The former prevents any kind of accidental touch input while the device is in one’s pocket, while the latter prevents accidental touches on the hardware/capacitive buttons from being registered while you are gaming, browsing the web etc. Other changes in this release include improvements to the color engine, with gray being introduced as a new primary and accent color. There are plenty of other device specific bug fixes and improvements, including improved Wi-Fi and camera performance for the OnePlus 3/3T. The below changes will also be applicable for all devices that are compatible with Paranoid Android: There’s also a new music player bundled in Paranoid Android with this release that is based on Shuttle+. The music player features Google Cast support, Last.fm scrobbling, themes, and more. Lastly, the release adds support for new devices like the Nextbit Robin, Xiaomi Mi 5, Nexus 6, LeEco Pro 3, OnePlus One, OnePlus X, and the Nexus 6.
