The beta, available for those who supported the game’s Kickstarter and Slacker Backer at the beta tiers, includes Wrath of the Righteous’ first three chapters, side quests, and companion stories with some romance options.
It also includes the fourth chapter, though its side quests are not yet complete, and some assets won’t reflect the final product. In all, this is a chance to experience six of the game’s nine Mythic Paths, three new classes, and a new pet progression system.
The Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous beta totals approximately 50 hours. While the narrative does change depending on which Mythic Path players choose, Owlcat said the significant narrative changes won’t appear until later in the game.
Wrath of the Righteous’ first “choose your story” quest streams live on February 5 at 8 a.m. EST on Owlcat’s Twitch channel and has players develop a narrative set in the Crusade by making crucial choices at the right time.
Owlcat plans a Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous release on PC for summer 2021, with a second beta going live sometime later in spring.
